CADR Annual Conference
Tue 10th Oct 2017
The theme of this year's conference is 'And now for something completely different ...', where we aim to shine a light on ageing and dementia research from an unexpected angle.
We will show how, through our research work, we raise awareness of the issues associated with ageing, especially relating to the need to reduce ageism and we will show how our research raises standards in the care given to older people and the environments within which they live.
There will be an opportunity to meet the researchers behind this exciting research and ample chance to network with like-minded people. There will also be a number of poster displays and exhibition stands from relevant collaborators.
Professor Vanessa Burholt, Director of CADR, giving an overview of the Centre's work
Dr. Gill Windle, Co-Director of CADR, Bangor University, talking about the arts in ageing and dementia care
Antony Bayer, Professor of Geriatric Medicine, Cardiff University, and Bob Woods (Emeritus Professor), Bangor University, on cognitive rehabilitation
Andrea Tales, Professor of Psychology, Swansea University, explaining how people can get involved in research data
