The Stroke Association funds research into stroke - for more details see their website. www.stroke.org.uk

The Dunhill Medical Trust http://www.dunhillmedical.org.uk supports small scale research projects re: older people & ageing.

The Medical Research Council http://www.mrc.ac.uk is a major UK funder of health research.

In Wales the National Institute for Social Care and Health Research (NISCHR) has a Research Funding Scheme (RFS).  To register an interest in receiving research funding information email NISCHR@Wales.gsi.gov.uk
